Charlie and Ian had their wedding in Port Douglas on a beautiful sunny August day. The guests were all from Melbourne and the UK, so our winter weather was lovely for them. Charlie was getting ready at Niramaya.
She was definitely one of the most relaxed brides ever, and spent the morning hanging out with her 2 sisters and her best friend.
Ian was over at Rendevous. When I arrived was just getting dressed for the second time, as he had grabbed the best man’s waistcoat first go, and took a minute to figure out why it no longer fit him.
Back at Niramaya, Charlie was getting ready
to head to St Mary’s By The Sea to be married.
And remained cool and calm the whole time.
Charlie’s parents had been unable to make the trip to Austalia, but were up at about 4.00am UK time to see the ceremony via Skype…
… and Charlie was given away by her sisters.
It was a beautiful ceremony with lots of laughter.
Afterwards we went with the bridal party to Four Mile Beach
and it was a perfect winter day.
Charlie’s Dad in England is a bit of a train buff, so of course the only way to get bridal party and all the guests to the reception was on the Bally Hooley steam train
At the QT train station, we all alighted for a wonderful relaxed afternoon.
with music by the very talented Easy Pickings.
Charlie and Ian your wedding was wonderful! Congratulations again.
